A Few Great Guitar Players

Everyone, especially guitar players and music lovers, have their own guitar heroes. These heros serve as inspiration and they may even provide motivation to their listeners, which is why many people want to learn to play the guitar.

Here are a few noteworthy guitar players who've been an inspiration to many guitar players.

George Harrison

George Harrison, a former member of the Beatles has been idolized by many people his amazing guitar playing skills, even after he left the band to pursue a solo career. He's always been know as someone playeded guitar with emotion and feelings and is considered by many to be the greatest guitarist in the history of rock and roll.

John McLaughlin

John McLaughlin is known for his rock and jazz music. He had many different roles in the music field, but it was his guitar playing that excelled and what made him famous. He started playing the guitar at the age of 11 and it was through guitar that he made a breakthrough in the music industry.

Robin Trower

Robin Trower is a British guitarist who became an idol of 1970's guitar music. He's known for his unique tone and feel with a touch of the blues. He was a member of the famous group Procol Harum and was the lead guitarist in the band. One of his famous albums is Bridge of Sighs, which is considered the best among his many albums.

Randy Bachman

Randy Bachman was a member of two famous Canadian bands, BTO and the Guess Who. He may be as well known to many guitar players, but he's made remarkable contributions in the field of music and guitar playing. He has a talent for writing songs as well as playing guitar which has contributed to his success with these two bands.

Carlos Santana

Carlos Santana became famous not only for his voice but also for playing lead guitar. His music is a blend of Latin, African, blues and rock rhythms as well as percussion. His albums have always been top quality and he's won many awards in the field of music. His Best of Santana album is one album to check out if you would like to listen to some of the best selling music.

There are many, many other guitar players who are deserving idols or role models when it comes to playing the guitar -- some are popular and some are unknown. What's important is that they make contributions and influence people and help them to enjoy and love music. They serve as inspiration and role models to beginners as well as aspiring professional guitar players.
